My Story

Anne teaches functional movement, exercise and wellness lifestyle design for those looking to stay active, strong and vital throughout their lives. She received her Bachelors in Social Work from Cornell University and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University and has been an occupational therapist for over twenty five years.

She founded Mind Body Fitness in 2011 after discovering her passion for teaching older adult exercise classes. Anne started her training as a Body Recall teacher and has been committed to ongoing education in the areas of fitness, mind body medicine and healthy aging. She is a certified NASM personal trainer and has completed training through the American Senior Fitness Association, Silver Sneakers, Drums Alive, Golden Beats and the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program.

Anne is dedicated to empowering older adults to better understand and appreciate their bodies, find joy in movement and to discover the connection between the mind and emotions and physical activity. She is deeply committed to helping her students optimize their health and independence and to encourage exercise with a spirit of warmth and compassion.
